Volunteers

Pre Season Courses

If you are keen to attend a course but cannot commit to any of the dates on the right then please get in contact. If a group of three people are able to commit to the same dates we are usually able to put on a bespoke course.

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 is an internationally recognised qualification that trains you to handle a small powerboat. It is an entry level course and no previous knowledge is required.

Volunteers who are able to drive and crew powerboats effectively are essential to enable the trust to run sessions safely.

Book with mike@nullhrcst.org.uk or call 07939 711328

Bring packed lunch warm clothes, waterproofs and wellingtons. We can supply buoyancy aids.

All pre-season courses run from 10 am – 4pm. Pick up from Ferry Boat or Helford Sailing Club.
No Direct Charge but a donation to Trust Funds would be appreciated.
Please bring a passport photo for your certificate.

Term-Time Courses

Sailing/Powerboat Tuition
We run a dedicated session for volunteers on Wednesday mornings during term time for volunteers to brush up their sailing skills or even start from scratch. This is very useful when you are volunteering during a school session as you will have a much better knowledge of how the boats work and what advice to give the children. We can also run RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses during these sessions.

If you are an active volunteer for one of our school sessions then the training is free of charge. Donations are, of course, gratefully accepted.

To book your place please fill out the online enrolment form below or email martin@nullhrcst.org.uk

Please Note:

It is vitally important that all volunteers involved with HRCST read and adhere to the procedures detailed in the following documents:
