Half Term Courses for year 6 going for RYA Youth stage 3
We piloted this very successfully last year. I think you are all aware that the depth of knowledge and boat handling skills required to achieve stage 3 are a big leap from stage 2. It is basically about spending lots of time on the water and understanding and putting into practice the theory side of sailing. We can offer 24 slots per day for any year 6 child from any school. Only proviso they must have stage 2. The course will run Monday through to Friday from 10.00 - 16.00. We recommend that each sailor does at least 2 full days or more though they need not be consecutive. To book a slot or talk it through contact alison@hrcst.org.uk.

Friday Night 'Start Racing' starting on 9th May at 18.45
This is aimed at sailors who have already got their stage 2. The sessions are structured to ensure that children appreciate the good sportsmanship side of sailing competitively. The fun factor is a high priority. The sessions will be run by Lee and John along with Martin Fenton, a young volunteer who has just become a dinghy instructor. We have 18 slots for the first 6 week course contact alison@hrcst.org.uk. We will need some PB2 drivers too so not just a nice start to the weekend for children.
