Margaret Green very kindly hosted a party at Calamansac in Port Navas on Sunday 6th August to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the Trust. John Green, Margaret's late husband, started HRCST at Calamansac in 1997 with a few boats and a lot of determination and enthusiasm. Today the Trust operates over 80 boats and teaches more than 600 children each year.

We are delighted to welcome Helen Bishop-Stephens our new Fundraising Manager. Helen has a background in the arts including fundraising and marketing. Since returning to Cornwall she has led a Heritage Lottery-funded restoration project at Harvey’s Foundry Trust in Hayle and a marketing and events programme for the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. She grew up crewing mirror and wayfarer dinghies on Restronguet for her sailing-enthusiast parents. Now that her children are showing an interest in being on the water, she vows to let them hold the tiller. Well, sometimes.
Rowan Blewett is Trusts Administrator and has held posts in community fundraising and events at Cornwall Hospice Care and Shelterbox. She is a keen sportsperson who enjoys netball, snowboarding and hiking. She can often be found at the Helford retrieving her dog from the water.
If you’d like to get involved with fundraising, we’d love to hear from you. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01326 250765
